Tsingy de Bermarah National Park, Madagascar
I discovered Tsingy when I saw a photo of it on tumblr believe it or not. It was similar to the first photo in my photoset here. It just caught my eye as somewhere extraordinary and it really is. Situated in Madagascar it is actually an ancient burial site and it is considered offensive to point at the rock formations by the indigenous. “Tsingy” literally translates to where one cannot walk barefoot and I’m guessing that’s because of all its unique limestone formations. Definitely somewhere that is relatively unknown that I must visit one day!
