Uluru, Northern Territory, Australia
Uluru located almost right in the middle of Australia, is a huge sandstone rock surrounded by nothing which makes it absolutely breathtaking! It is a UNESCO site and lies within Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. It is also a scared Australian Aboriginal site but, while you are allowed to climb up it, it is seen as disrespectful to the Aboriginal people. In Australia it is their most popular natural landmark and outside of Australia it is seen as something that describes Australia’s natural beauty. It is however less well known than I thought especially by its Aboriginal name “Uluru” but more so by the name “Ayres Rock”. Either way I have really really wanted to go here since I was like 10 years old and did a school project on Australia! Ahh let’s go now!
